WHEN IS THE RIGHT TIME? Level
1 and 2 are dedicated to our Water Comfort Program. We
require the child to be potty trained before entering
our program. Age three or at the age and ability to
listen and receive instruction is a good time to
introduce your child to the Water Comfort Program.
WHAT IS THE ENVIRONMENT LIKE? For our Water Comfort program, we allow a maximum
of 3 children per session. This ensures that your child
will receive individualized attention and instruction.
Young pre-school children especially have a wide range
of comfort level in the water. Our trained staff will
work with your child at their pace and comfort level.
WHAT WILL BE TAUGHT? At
this level, we emphasize high praise and positive
feedback for the smallest of accomplishments. The
instructor is establishing a relationship and building
trust, as they teach basic swim and safety techniques
to create a foundation of confidence and love for the
water. At these two levels, they will be learning to be
comfortable in getting their whole body immersed.
They will learn proper breathing technique, floating,
and front/back crawl motion.
HOW DO THEY GRADUATE? When a child is ready
to graduate from the COMFORT program, they will have
mastered the above requirements, as well as be able to
swim front crawl the full length of the pool. |
